Maybury summer party success.
Master took knife and sliced up the birthday cake.
Third year in a row for summer success at Maybury summer party - a year without train strike, in the year of the Master James, a pre-reception at the Dickins Inn for a marina-wide view before going afloat on the events garden in Centre dock of St Catherines Marina at the Tower of London.
A big turn out of partners and brethren, even the new initiate, guests of other lodges, friends of Maybury.
Lights scattered in the June evening set a tone of smiles, conversation and celebration for the 161st year summer party reception of Maybury.
Birthday cake, drinks reception, bottled Corona and French Rose, a huge picnic and pudding to finish before birthday cake. Dress code in the 161st year was colourful and 2024 did not disappoint. Master James hosted the formal toast, took the knife and sliced up the birthday cake for 161 years of Lodge 969. A summer success for the lodge outside of ceremony, a celebration of partners. A summer success of social fun beyond the square of the lodge floor.
